Our Background

Foundation ...

Founded on clinical leadership with strong business guidance and technical expertise, veEDIS CareTRAK has amassed deep experience in all aspects of EMR development, implementation, integration, and support.

Data Driven ...

veEDIS CareTRAK has always made data capture and rich reports a cornerstone of its applications. Indeed, much of the ROI that comes from an EMR can be traced back to reports. It is managing to this data that brings efficiencies to bear that result in improved quality and reduced cost.

Before the ONC ...

The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for HIT was created by Executive Order in 2004 and written into legislation by the HITECH Act. Part of the ONC's mission is to improve the quality of health care while reducing costs, as they create federal requirements for healthcare software vendors. The ONC works in tandem with CMS and The Joint Commission, who create quality measures and data points on which hospitals must report as they demonstrate Meaningful Use of certified EHRs. Many of these first federally mandated reports, containing ED quality metrics and throughput times to gauge efficiency of care, were in fact the same metrics we had been reporting on for years – in some cases decades.

Tom Grossjung

Tom Grossjung, President and CEO

Tom is a successful entrepreneur. In 1991, he founded Integrated Healthcare Services of America, a company dedicated to the development of software to assist in the management of hospital emergency departments. Under his direction, the company’s flagship software ProMed became the leader in Emergency Department Management Systems (EDIS).

With 20 years of specialized Emergency Department (ED) experience, Tom founded veEDIS Clinical Systems LLC.
